Read some of the letters of thanks I’ve received over the years from couples whose marriage ceremonies I’ve had the honour to conduct.

Dear Merrilyn,

thank you so much for sharing our wedding day with us, for all your work and for a really personal and wonderful ceremony, and, just as importantly, guiding us through the process.

You really listened to what we wanted and gave us a ceremony that reflected who we are - our day was truly perfect!

From our first meeting,  we could not have asked for a more professional, warm and caring person.

Merrilyn helped make our day  -  with her guidance, finesse and attention to detail, I felt absolutely at ease, able to enjoy every moment, and lose myself in such a special occasion. 

Everybody loved the ceremony! Our friends laughed and said they could ‘feel the love!!!’ And our parents were really pleased that it wasn’t rushed through but delivered with love, laughs and sincerity.

We loved the sand ceremony idea which we expanded to include the things we loved. It was such a wonderful momento of the day and something everyone got to enjoy with us (even with a giggle here and there when I muffed up).

They enjoyed the stories you were able to tell about us, and said they really got to know us through that.

Dear Merrilyn, we're now back on home soil after a wonderful honeymoon in New Zealand.

The sacredness of the ceremony will always stay with us. We had a wonderful night, as did our guests - we received many compliments about the meaning and beauty of the ceremony, even the men were teary!

Merrilyn, Mikus and I just wanted to thank you again for our wonderful ceremony on Saturday night. We had such a perfect evening it all seems very dream like now. We had so many compliments on the ceremony itself, everyone thought that it was very different, very us, and just loved it! One of the guests said it was just like opening presents, you just didn't know what would come next and each time it was something surprising and lovely. He had not seen the warming of the rings, the wine ceremony, nor the inclusion of the children before (and definitely not a reading of Winnie the Pooh). We somehow survived the Latvian tradition of celebrating for 3 days and 3 nights and are now completely exhausted, but very happy.
